I want the next Animal Crossing. Pokopia is scratching of some that itch though, and there’s also Tomadachi Life, still, hope they don’t take too long for the next one.

Congratulations on getting Switch 2!
As for Sakurai (the guy behind Smash), he is also maker of Kirby, and recently released Kirby Air Riders. There were some rumours (or just opinions?) that they allowed him to make that so they can get him to make next Smash. Even without Sakurai, I doubt Nintendo would let such a big series die down. Though I doubt we will get back so many characters again.

You are right, I missed that, my bad.

I think the part about Marvel Snap is just his obsession, not that its indie.
The indie publisher thing is debatable though, as the term indie has kind of evolved. Indie publishers, IMO, are publishers that specialise in publishing games developed by indie studios.
It’s a mix of Dragon Quest Builder and Animal Crossing and turned out to be much more fun than I was expecting. You play in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans and Pokémon have disappeared. So you start restoring the habitats to bring back Pokémon, with hopes of eventually bringing back humans too.
Haven’t reached far enough to see if humans actually return or not, but it’s fun slowly restoring the world and collecting all the Pokémon.
(Also a bit of self-promotion, join [email protected], our weekly “what are you playing” threads can be helpful to find recommendations and get some reviews if you are unsure of any game)
