Today’s game is Animal Crossing New Horizons. I hadn’t checked in on my island in a hot second so I figured “you know what. May as well”. My friend sent me a cat plush he got so that went in my home.

The main thing I want to talk about though is fuck this guy. I forgot I put him there months ago, and I’m wandering around. Checking out the island. And what do I see? I realistic humanoid figure watching me from the distance. Scared the shit out of me. I thought I was about to attacked or something lmao.

I also donated some new bugs. I couldn’t find where they went so here’s a butterfly instead. Namely though I donated this funny looking beetle and a tiger beetle. I’m more a fish kind of guy but it’s fun seeing the insect section fill up.

After this I think I’ll return my island too it’s abandoned state until i remember it exists. I was dedicated to it for a good month. So In my terms that’s quite the dedication.
Cat plush is new in 3.0 (the hotel update).
Those humanoid statues are indeed weird.
I’ve done everything in New Horizons so I’m on New Leaf now. Started playing a modded version of it on a modded 3DS, but I’ve since moved the same over to my MacBook and got it running there. Plus a save editor to get a couple villagers I wanted. It’s nice not being limited to a 2-3” screen. I’m not getting any younger, and I’m more likely to take the MacBook with me than the 3DS. With a graphics filter it almost looks as good as New Horizons.
I want the next Animal Crossing. Pokopia is scratching of some that itch though, and there’s also Tomadachi Life, still, hope they don’t take too long for the next one.
Is Pokopia any good? When I bought my Switch 2 off my family member I got all their games including Tomodachi Life, and I’m enjoying that (though I do have some opinions on it), but I don’t know much about Pokopia and have been thinking about looking into it
It’s a mix of Dragon Quest Builder and Animal Crossing and turned out to be much more fun than I was expecting. You play in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans and Pokémon have disappeared. So you start restoring the habitats to bring back Pokémon, with hopes of eventually bringing back humans too.
Haven’t reached far enough to see if humans actually return or not, but it’s fun slowly restoring the world and collecting all the Pokémon.
(Also a bit of self-promotion, join [email protected], our weekly “what are you playing” threads can be helpful to find recommendations and get some reviews if you are unsure of any game)
I’ll have too check it out, both Pokopia and the Nintendo “What are you playing” threads. I have a bit of a backlog too catch up on now that I have a switch back but I love seeing what other people are up too
