Iran has more cards because they have been bombing energy infrastructures across the Middle East and restricting the vessels that go through the strait. I would be more rejoicing if Iran agreed to stop the attacks for an actual ceasefire.

Iran has had a No First Strike policy meaning they committed to not fighting anyone unless attacked first and Iran had not invaded another country or started a war in over 200 years.

And Iran DID agree to stop for a ceasefire. Remember they were the ones first attacked and demanded the US stop bombing them in order to discuss peace despite the Trump bragging that peace talks were a ruse to get soldiers in place.
