Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month. PC Game Pass will also drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. Prices may vary by region.
Beginning this year, future Call of Duty titles won’t join Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch. New Call of Duty games will be added to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the following holiday season (about a year later), while existing Call of Duty titles already in the library will continue to be available.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will continue to have access to hundreds of games on Xbox console and PC including current Call of Duty titles, in-game benefits, online console multiplayer, and major day one releases. You can find more details on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, and PC Game Pass plans here, and manage your account here.
Our players cover a wide breadth of geographies, preferences, and tastes, so while there isn’t a single model that’s best for everyone, this change responds to a lot of feedback we’ve gotten so far. We’ll continue to listen and learn.
Thank you for being a part of the Xbox community.

Hello, we fucked up, please resubscribe, we promise we won’t try to fuck with you again (for at least a few months).
Well, I mean, I don’t advocate for anyone to subscribe to Gamepass for a couple different reasons.
But, like…yeah? Like, why would you shit on pricing coming down? That’s objectively good for the end consumer. It’s always up to each individual to decide if they want to pay, but for anyone who does or is considering, this is a good sign. Unless you exclusively did it for COD I guess, but that’s a different issue.
I don’t think they’re shitting on “pricing coming down”. They’re shitting on “company raises pricing, faces backlash, promises not to do it again after clearly having no qualms about screwing over consumers”.
The point isn’t that “prices going down = bad”, it’s “prices going down ≠ company won’t screw you over later”
I wasn’t shitting on the price going down. I was shitting on Microsoft. Give it some time, they’ll attempt another price increase. GP has had four price changes in seven years of existence (once every year since 2023), I wouldn’t bet on this one being the last.
Yeah right -they are realising they fucked up and trying to correct it. It’ll be too little too late for many people - but at least they are trying. Most companies seem to pull this shit then double down when they’re criticised.
