Debbi Wasserman Schulz just doing Debbi Wasserman Schulz stuff.
Many people still do not know that she was the DNC chair implicated (but without hard evidence) in an email leak that showed the DNC favoured Clinton over Sanders in 2016. When she resigned, she was more or less immediately hired by the Clinton campaign.
This is reason enough to loathe Wasserman Schultz and dislike Hillary Clinton.
The heck is even the logic here?
In the Senate, we shouldn’t run competitive candidates in primaries if someone else wants to run and is Black?
And in Congressional races, even though the Florida DNC membership are the ones complaining, the Democrats should, I dunno, threaten Wasserman-Schulz until she stops running?
Essentially, when we dislike candidates based on their race, the DNC should exercise totalitarian control and remove candidates of whom we do not approve but when we like a candidate like Bernie, the DNC doing anything to interfere is the epitome of evil and authoritarianism…
I don’t know everything about the guy, but Colonel Vindman was the whistleblower in the first Trump administration. He seems like an honorable dude to me.
It’s possible he’s very corporate friendly. I don’t know. He’s more than just some random Democrat though.
Vindman just voted yea on a bill that requires teachers to out trans students to abusive parents.
EDIT: Wrong Vindman. His brother Eugene voted to out trans kids to abusive parents. Alex did not.
So just another fascist.
Do you have a news article about that? Last I saw he isn’t an elected official, only running for office (as the Wikipedia article I linked describes).
Let’s hope you’re just confusing him for someone else because your comment is reprehensible otherwise.
So, I was thinking of Eugene Vindman, not Alex Vindman. My mistake.
All good. Thank you.
Yeah, I don’t know a heck of a lot about the primary matchup but letting people pick their candidate in a primary instead of deciding for them seems reasonable.
And of all the candidates, a military guy who came forward and nearly got trump impeached seems like a decent one to offer. I remember watching his testimony and being quite impressed.
OP’s framing seems disingenuous at best.
Context, the wiki says he basically sparked the first impeachment by exposing the Ukraine deal.
I agree with you, if we assume there was a free and fair primary. If there was then fine, they earned it. If they won because they had the most donations, likely orchestrated by the establishment DNC, then it isn’t free and fair. This is almost certainly the case since it’s totally allowed legally, and has been the way things have worked since at least Citizens United, but really far longer.
I agree with you, if we assume there was a free and fair primary.
This is the point, for sure. It wasn’t for nothing that the Dems argued publicly for their right to rig primaries when they were sued for it in Florida after rigging the primary against Bernie.
It’s not about quality. It’s about complicity, and they’re happy to run black candidates who play ball with the billionaires and Israel. Just look at Cory Booker.
The heck is even the logic here?
Something along the lines of “We’re the DNC. So FUCK YOU! We’re not allowing there to be another option that isn’t just straight up fascist”
I don’t understand this. The point of the primary is to compete within the party. If the candidate with the best platform for the parties voters win then that’s good. Stop trying to get people to vote for the worse platform because “race.” That being said I would prefer the DMC to only put a thumb on the scale when the candidate is very outside the parties values (fetterman)
You might not be deep into the lore, but Debbie Wasserman Schultz is like, she orchestrated the fix within the DNC to prevent Bernie from beating Hillary as head of the DNC. She put as much weight as she could on the scales to ensure a Trump versus Hillary contest, effectively setting up the modern fascist movement as we understand it today.
So…
Well, hrc is fash af. They didn’t call her “killary” for no reason, in latam.
The point of the primary is to compete within the party.
The point of the party is to run the primaries in such a way that no actual competition happens.
I think their logic is that the psychos in power want to stay in power even if it means joining republicans in throwing minorities under the bus. I think the screenshot fails to mention that at least one of those candidates changed districts bc they were gerrymandered out of relevance. So, they’re not simply running against people who better represent their community, they’re also doing an imperialism.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz may be most famous internationally for her role as the DNC chair who was pushing for Clinton over Bernie Sanders. But, she has been a Florida congressional rep for more than 20 years in that area. Due to redistricting, the number of the district she represents has changed a few times, but always in that Boca-Raton-ish part of the Miami megacity. Originally her district was CD-20, but it has changed shape a few times since then.
Because of the gerrymandering and the Supreme Court’s decisions on the voting rights act, it isn’t a majority black district. It’s plurality black, but with significant numbers of white, hispanic and asian voters. More than 20% of the households in that district are Spanish-speaking, and more than 11% are Haitian-speaking. And, while most Haitians are black-skinned, they’re often not part of the same culture as African-Americans.
That is to say, it’s not a district where you would automatically assume that a black democratic candidate would necessarily do well, and one where Debbie Wasserman Schultz has previously won, and could be considered the incumbent based on the redrawing of the districts.
As for the senator, that’s a Florida-wide position, and it’s often a role where having national name recognition helps. See Mark Kelly the astronaut, Elizabeth Warren, the former head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, etc. Even if you don’t have national name recognition, being a former state-wide rep helps. Current senator Rick Scott is the former governor of Florida. Current senator Ashley Moody is the former Florida attorney general. Marco Rubio was the speaker of the house in Florida becoming its senator. Someone whose experience is merely being a state congressional rep for 6 years is going to have an uphill battle.
TL;DR: as is often the case, Qasim Rashid, Esq. is out there stirring shit up.
DEMS ARENT THE GOOD GUYS, JUST THE OTHER GUYS
wasserman is a corporate bitch
Of note, those 2 are the most extreme zionist warmongers in the party.
Who is “they”? People independently device to run for a position. Only after winning do they get support of the party.
“They” you know, the ever present conspiracy conspiring against us at all times. Get outta here with your reality based perception! /s
Those people are choosing to run the DNC isn’t “running them”. It’s normal for one person to choose to run even though others are as well. It’s literally how democracy works. It isn’t shocking that some of the people running are going to be black and others white. This post is nonsense.
Everyone needs to learn about controlled opposition and the uniparty. Establishment Dems are on the same side as Republicans.
This can be true and the Democratic candidate can also still be harm reduction and the (far) lesser of two evils.
Getting more conservative districts gets more conservative candidates in both parties.
Which is why the centrist-run democratic party doesn’t gerrymander as hard as they could, and doesn’t fight republican gerrymandering as hard as they need to.
