Surely, even if riders are bearing 100% of the excess costs to the NJ Transit system during the World Cup, it chalks out to less than $100 per train ticket? The bus to Foxborough from Boston is rumored to be $95, which… surely renting buses isn’t that expensive?
A day earlier, New York Governor Kathy Hochul tweeted: “The World Cup should be as affordable and accessible as possible. Charging over $100 for a short train ride sounds awfully high to me.”
