                Corporate America (bankers, markets, etc.) prefer it this way. This isn’t a conspiracy theory — bankers have run the show (entirely) since the early 70s.

                    Goddamnit, no, actual bankers of many faiths (or lack thereof) gained leverage and a majority “stake” at the table by buying munis and treasuries when literally ALL bids ceased during the stagflation era of the 70s.
