Amazon has told employees that the AI token statistics would not be used in performance evaluations. But several staff members said they believed managers were monitoring the data.

    I can only imagine a workplace that values employees for how much money they can spend, not what results they get. Imagine any job doing that.

    “Hey boss, I ordered 17 spare wheels for a bucket excavator”

    “Good work bob! You’re the best bartender we’ve ever had!”
