Most Americans using AI tools for health purposes say they want immediate answers. In some cases, it helps them evaluate what kind of medical attention they need.

“It’ll let me know if something’s serious or not,” Davis said of ChatGPT, which she typically consults before scheduling medical appointments.

The Gallup survey found about 7 in 10 U.S. adults who have used AI for health research in the past 30 days say they wanted quick answers, additional information or were simply curious. Majorities used it for research before seeing a doctor or after an appointment.

America healthcare is another factory to make money for the rich and externalize their costs to the poor. It doesn’t surprise me people try to route around it at any chance they get.

Because AI actually listens to what you’re saying, instead of basically telling you that you are fat and/or sad. Also you don’t need to wait for weeks, and then take hours off work just to talk for like 5 minutes.

Also I think basically everyone knows that doctors are more than willing to tell you nothing is wrong with something is definitely very wrong and you can feel it because it’s your body.

And God help you if you happen to be a woman.

My state insurance covers my doctors and telehealth, it’s so easy I would never seek answers online myself.

Therapy on the other hand is completely inaccessible to me.
