i generally have luck with sunshine/moonlight on wifi.

you can connect your controller directly to the pi without major latency issues, but if you are streaming with decent quality you need 5ghz wifi at the minimum (ethernet is best tho), and a pi that can properly decode the video stream fast enough.

the older pis simply can’t play 1080p high bitrate streams smoothly, so first things first turn down the settings and see how it goes.
