I believe projects are not all the same. Some projects might be quick to bend the knee, but others would never.
Depends how the Blender team works I guess :)
It is FOSS, so if it takes a turn to the worse I am sure they will be forked quickly 😄

A lot of open source projects take money from companies to develop their stuff.
It’s not like Blender is forced to integrate AI now.
I think this is a net good.
You need food regardless if you bike or drive. Maybe just a little more if you are in good trim and bike a lot. Still cheaper than gas for a car though.
Still have to pay a subscription for heated seats or whatever, right?
Situations like these are the strength of the fediverse. Move your account to an instance that shares your values or doesn’t care about stuff like this.
Maybe you shouldn’t even have had your account on the largest server to begin with?
Edit: Didn’t mean to ridicule any of you all. I based my comment on my experience when I signed up. At that time there were plenty of instances to pick from and getting approved at my instance of choice was very quick. My bad.

Its just that I don’t really see a problem with Blender creating an API.
