I mean just because he’s not particularly successful ANYMORE doesn’t take away his past success, or name recognition as one of the best soundtrack artists of all time, he’s more of an artist’s artist I suppose, he’s very influential in synthesizer circles for instance as he is quite prolific in his gear and experimentation. He’s definitely always been a bit of an asshole though, when The Orb wanted to remix Oxygene in the 90s he would not let them, so they produced the song Toxygene instead.
