My state has the minimum wage set at the federal minimum wage (7.25/hr) which is not livable in any area of the state.

They even passed laws so our mostly Democratic-leaning urban city can’t raise the minimum wage past the state minimum wage. The cost of living in that city is higher than my local area, where you can’t find a 1br apartment for less than $900/month

The federal wage has to be raised federally or red states will never do it.

Hexbear/others has a word for what is featured in the OP image - adventurism. They take a dim view of it. They point out doing violence like this does not end up serving the perpetrator’s political goals. Instead they point out (rightfully) that people need to organize, build up their local community, get to know your neighbors, etc to affect change in the world.

Sure, they joke about it occasionally, they are edgelords, but adventurism doesn’t further their aims and they are direct with posters who aren’t shitposting.
