3·12 days agoIt’s probably 100s of billions by now. Defiantly 10s of billions. Don’t just think of the trade losses. Consider the opportunity cost. All that effort trying to prepare for consequence of shooting ourselves in the foot. All the time dedicated to selecting and arguing over the bullet that dominated politics for a decade. And then think what could’ve been achieved in the same time. Also the productivity losses compound. A little less economic growth every year is a very big gap after a few years.

However true this may feel, I’m much more worried that Reform will end up in power than I am excited that the Greens might.
