34·1 day agoThese days, whenever I see a headline with “trans” and a “Supreme Court” in the same sentence, I brace for the worst.
I am so pleasantly surprised that we actually can count a W. This will not stop the anti-trans rhetoric or the bills being presented and passed, but, it is something. Of course, the 2 dissenting justices misgendered and otherwise belittled our existences—but they were in the minority, so fuck ‘em.
I need to get my birth certificate info correct, as I don’t know if I will be able to starting in 2027.

Aw shucks, appreciate the compliment. But sadly, no.
I too hate the finish on the flooring.

Technology@lemmy.world•'Addicted to hacking': Young hacker behind historic breach speaks out for 1st time, before reporting to prisonEnglish
34·3 days agoThat would have been a better outcome, but unfortunately that is not what happened. The kid wasn’t on some altruistic journey, he hacked a company whose business is dealing with tens of millions of children’s data. Prison was not the only remedy available, and I don’t relish in the thought of sending a young person there. Could’ve been some deferred action in conjunction with a program that steered the teen back onto a track of help rather than theft.
if he didn’t do it someone more malicious wouldve.
Poor argument.

49·3 days agoI didn’t say that being sent to prison was the desired outcome. But at the very least, there needs to be some amount of accountability involved.
Also, chill out. Get some bud, and chill out.

Progressive Politics@lemmy.world•[Video] Hasan Piker says Hamas is a thousand times better than Israel, and he would vote for Hamas over Israel every single time.English
312·3 days agoIs this controversial? The logical conclusion is to support Hamas over Israel in literally anything. If it were between the two, I’d vote Hamas too.
Israel must be stopped, by any means necessary.

410·3 days agoYeah, we all have to have a red line. Going after children’s data is a net negative. Hackers have all of these terrible companies to extort. No need to bring children into this.

513·3 days agoThe breach pierced the education technology company PowerSchool – used by 80% of school districts in North America – and “put at risk the security of 60 million children and 10 million teachers,” the Justice Department said.

news@lemmings.world•Trump turns on another European ally and says he is ‘shocked’ by herEnglish
12·3 days agoAsked about her condemnation of his comments on Pope Leo, he said: “She is the one who is unacceptable, because she does not care whether Iran has a nuclear weapon and would blow Italy up in two minutes if it had the chance.”
Prove it. Show the world the evidence of Iran being within 2 weeks/months away from having a bomb capable of being launched. Not Israeli propaganda. Actual evidence.
Also, he obliterated their nuclear program the last time they bombed Iran, without provocation. Wouldn’t that mean the second round of unprovoked attacks is not needed?
I hope this entire “war” completely blows up in his face. I hope it sinks the R’s come midterms.
More than anything else, I hope the fog clears, and people will continue to demand the release of the evidence of Trump (among others) raping children
