1·5 days agoMore my comment was an extreme oversimplification. The point is more so that every type of battery chemistry has pros and cons and there’s no silver bullet “better” battery. Every application has different demands and constraints and must be looked at individually, as you iterated on regarding grid storage.
Which definitely has no diminishing returns whatsoever 😅
2·7 days agoHonestly, I think most of them were just indoctrinated and never actually thought that deep into it.
Cheap, high longevity, high capacity. You can’t have all three.
What’s better depends on application. I don’t want a cheap battery in my car if I only get 80 miles on a charge.
