Seriously, the silent cartoons were kinda boring, and once they added color it gave me a headache.
Betty Boop was peak 'toon.

2·6 days agoI’m sure it is real.
There’s probably tons of DoD documents listing tons of unidentified flying objects.
There’s definitely zero documents with any evidence of aliens.
Just page after page of “this radar showed a weird blip, but when we looked, nothing was there.” And “this camera showed a strange light, we think it was an optical artifact in the lens train, but we couldn’t reproduce it exactly.”
People are going to be very disappointed at the release.

The spelling is actually also important for non-english speakers.
Alpha is hard to pronounce if you aren’t familiar with English ph, so it should be an F.
Juliet should have two T’s to ensure romance language speakers pronounce the T.

Technology@lemmy.world•Japan finds a way to recover 90% of lithium from old EV batteriesEnglish
203·10 days agoThat’s great and all, but not all batteries need lithium. When another battery technology gets mature enough to surpass lithium based batteries, then we’ll still be stuck on old tech cause the government is subsiding it.
This also reduces the incentive for making more lithium efficient batteries.
Subsidies can help, but they need to be more generalized so they don’t create issues moving past current tech. Heck, look at how much trouble we’re having getting past oil, that’s a perfect example.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•I almost got to try out my new quick clampEnglish
1·1 month agoClassic mistake.
You need to label them as 1 meter pipe clamps so the work thinks it can get away with being 1.1 meters, but then at the last second you rip off the label and yell “SURPRISE, IT’S ACTUALLY LONG ENOUGH!”

0·2 months agoI love how these models apologize like they mean it. It doesn’t mean it. It doesn’t feel bad, and it will do it again.
Apologies mean “I made a mistake and I learned from it so it won’t repeat.”
Sure it claims it added more notes to it’s config, but if it ignored the rules before, what makes you think that new rules are going to change anything?

If she called from the same phone number… Then probably, yeah.
