If there’s any upside to the entire situation, it’s that perhaps, maybe, developers will again start paying more attention to optimization instead of just throwing more powerful hardware at it.
Some of the greatest games ever developed for consoles were great because the developers had to get extremely creative with the limited resources at their disposal. This led to some incredibly optimized games that could do a whole lot with those very limited resources.


If taking away their healthcare, pensions, income and safety nets didn’t do it, why would this be the red line?


Those bots have been so successful the past few years that if they shut them all down tomorrow, it wouldn’t matter because they managed to radicalize enough idiots to keep it going.


I love her gumption, but I really fear she’s underestimating her opposition. They’ve already shown they care nothing about the rule of law, so counting on that to “protect” you is a losing bet in the long term.
The idea isn’t to build it, it’s to grift endlessly while it gets built and never finished.
