  • I love that your own examples came with a bunch of exceptions. The puberty one has exceptions too - puberty blockers, early/late onset puberty, and so on.

This is just a collection of high probability things. Same is true for people in their 40s, like most in their 40s probably don’t live with their parents, just as a random example.

You’ve just forgotten, or never realized, the disparity of life experiences of being a kid, and y’all like to imagine that being in your 40s is somehow unique or special as a way of coping with getting older

As if this isn’t true for pretty much every age group.

Being 12 is wild, people your age are living completely different lives. Some have loving parents, some are only children, some have divorced parents, some have known only abuse their entire lives.

It’s super obvious that Lemmy is predominantly elder millenial and gen X men lol

  • Mate, I’m sorry, but I will absolutely not accept any attempts to shame me into supporting the incredibly exploitative music industry. Artists will create art even without being paid, because that’s how human creativity is. I’m literally an open source developer and I’ve written millions of lines of code without seeing a single penny for my work. Keep yelling into the void if you want, it changes absolutely nothing. If it helps, I also support stealing from corporations. I believe piracy and shoplifting are 100% based and I encourage it as much as I can

  • Pure cope and denialism, through and through. You need to allow yourself to face reality. I know it’s uncomfortable and scary, I know nobody wants to feel disillusioned and disenfranchised, but it beats being under the illusion that the democratic party are doing everything they can to beat the republicans and deliver a progressive policy platform.

It is overwhelmingly obvious that mainstream democrats are more focused on fighting their left flank than they are about winning. They would rather lose as centrists than win as a left-leaning party. That’s why they snatched Clinton’s defeat from the jaws of Bernie’s victory, that’s why they constantly cry about Hasan Piker, it’s why they refused to primary a candidate in 2024 and it’s why Kamala advocated for republican policies (harder border, pro-military/military industrial complex, and so on.

The democrats try to strike a balance between the base of the democratic party (generally progressive people) and the donors of the democratic party (corporations, billionaires, Israel, lobbyists) but when it comes down to a conflict, the party has and always will side with the money.

  • Wow, you had two links that you made look like a single link then acted like it was my fault for not realizing it? Okay lmfao, very obvious good faith discussion right here, it’s definitely not worth my time trying to convince you by finding sources that clearly show that Americans overwhelmingly support socialist policies but do not identify with socialist or leftist labels because of a lack of political education.

You can believe whatever you want. Infosec.pub always has bad takes. I’m like 99% sure at this point that it runs out of Eglin.
