So Linux overlords is the best of the options?
That’s not even bad …
(When they learned the meaning they didn’t stop saying it like that tho.)
Was magic just all the gathering we did along the way?
Always has been?

Where is the roof of the car?
Or the left window wiper?
Or proof of extended warranty? It also only has one tyre - in OPs pic, in your pic the car has 0 tyres.
Also - “what window?”?

At least in this cheap version of the dashboard they left the indicator lights separate from the screen for higher reliability.
(This is a BMW stereotype joke.)
There is also no way OP could fit a V16 under the hood of the car the doors belong to (it’s not pictured, but it doesn’t make it any less true - OP might have used gen AI on the things not pictured in the pic they posted!!).
When foss Cockpilot??

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK none of the Nordic nations have a legislated Minimum Wage
1·6 days agoOh, nice!
Such directives often take the best existing market practices & codifie them.

Late Stage Capitalism@lemmy.world•We must speak to them in the only language they understand
2·6 days agoAgreed.
It’s also why the extreme change you described was so small.

181·6 days agoIt’s not the CEO, it’s the shareholder class (and the system).
CEOs are just lapdogs with a job.
Shareholders dictate what CEOs (management board) objectives are. Is usually profit. If their job was to maximise wages, CEOs would try anything to achieve that.Ppl will really think CEOs that affect profit by 0.01% are the issue, not where the vast profit goes, and why is profit king above all else (human lives & ecosystems included).

Technology@lemmy.world•The Free Market Lie: Why Switzerland Has 25 Gbit Internet and America Doesn'tEnglish
2·6 days agoYay for fibre!
I can hardly imagine the last few decades without it.
Reading horror stories on the internet about downloading games for a day feels like reading about a starving village without roads.
Same with GSM data (we had GPRS, UMTS, etc about when they came out). Or the price of an SMS in late 90s/early 2000. Imagine not having unlimited SMS as a teen.
It’s wild that rich, developed countries lacked basic infrastructure, and then they overpaid sooo much for it.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK none of the Nordic nations have a legislated Minimum Wage
2·7 days agoYes, what you would expect from the name, but just a tiny bit more than that as it deals with (indirectly) promotions and wage gaps too, companies need to incorporate & codify wages a bit further than just how much of a fight an individual worker gives up.
The basic thing is that every job position needs to have a wage specification.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK none of the Nordic nations have a legislated Minimum Wage
1·7 days agoThe main thing I saw was categorisation of wages/positions, so if I have a worker that is exceeding the perquisites of the current position they get automatically promoted (eg from junior to senior position of the same job).
That, and that sem job description can’t differ more that 5% (or something like that) from the wages of others with abut the same job description.

Mermaids are the apex predator & rule the seas - none of the critters are friends, just captive slaves that try their best not to piss her off.
And that’s why a little murmaider is ok.
