it’s a joke about how society perceives men who take care of their bodies as being gay, or bi, and therefore faulty. a joke on the fucked up society in which we live where you shaving your pits is some big deal instead of something nobody gives a fuck about. and yes, bi is ‘worse’ than gay if you know anything about the way in which bisexual men are treated by straight women, or how prevalent bi-erasure is among homosexual and trans community members, and the horrible sexism where bisexual in women is perceived as ‘hot’ and bisexuality in men is ‘icky’.
god what is with this platform and people who take shit so seriously and looking so hard to be ‘offended’ because they lack any sense of sarcasm, humor, or subtle commentary? everything on here is full of people who are so literal and actively looking to get upset and offended, and who seem to think the acknowledgement of gender biases or mocking them, is somehow an endorsement/support of them.
anyway, hope that helps you in your struggle or something, but having been on fedi for 2+ years you will probably take my implicit gesture of support and solidarity as a person attack on yourself. and i’m sure if i did it explicitly you’d tell me that is also problematic or something.

I lived in Germany for a year. Love your culture, but yeah your humor not at all in sync with Anglophone culture. It has it’s own weird thing that I enjoy, but most americans/english do not get German humor AT ALL and find it really alienating and offputting.
