Those posts have their language set to French. In your settings at https://feddit.online/user/settings you probably don’t have French as one of your Content Languages.

That depends if there are any followers of given community on an instance. Also, with feddit.online blinking yesterday, there might be some spots in what it federated. If posts are missing, it might be helpful to use “retrieve remote post” functionality
