    photos directly taken from your phone usually contains location data (where the pic was taken), the model of the phone, etc.

      Thanks for explaining that. I don’t upload photos straightaway after clicking them from my mobile. I edit those. Do these still reveal all those detailed data ??🤔🤔🤔

        They’re talking about EXIF data. Almost all websites strip it automatically these days. Lemmy/Piefed included so, they’re worrying you over nothing fyi.

          Yes, i was worried that he would share personal info here. Most people i talk to, do the mistake : fediverse = privacy. That’s the opposite and there is better tool for privacy :)
