Read the recent reviews since 2026-04-15. A reinstall of the extension fixed the performance issue.

      I get it but Chrome such a large market share I figured there’s enough people using BitWarden extension that the info would be helpful.

    For even better performance and a security and privacy increase, export your bookmarks and passwords from Chrome, install waterfox, or some other firefox variant, and import your data into those.

    Then you can use the original old-school Ublock.

      I’m in an environment where I need to verify things are working in stock Chrome, but yes if you can avoid it!

        i am, too. doesn’t mean you have to use chrome for everything else. i keep it to just that, testing when i need to, and then also only from inside a virtualized environment.

        I switched from librewolf to floorp and while it sounds fake, I love it so much. It took some ui setup but it’s beautiful now. Super minimal with everything useful right there, deployed exactly the same on all my computers locally.

    Interesting, can’t say I noticed anything amiss with Chrome Linux/Windows but I uninstalled/re-installed the extension just in case. Does make me wonder if it happens to be acting up when installed with other extensions or with particular Chrome settings.
