“Our top priority is the same as it always was, giving Israel everything it wants. To hell with what our constituents want. Polls be damned.”

Don’t forget that they also prioritise giving corporations and oil companies everything they want too. Then, after they have made sure that the billionaires are happy, along with the arms manufacturers, the auto industry, and the healthcare profiteers, they might notice that their constituents exist. Or not. Probably not.

Not only should that be immediately disqualifying for him to continue as party leader in the House, it should guarantee he is primaried successfully from the left in his next campaign season. That’s the world I want to live in, anyway.

Of course Aipac Shakur doesn’t care about impeaching El Taco; nobody is Bibi’s bitch like El Taco is.

Just like the Dems to finally wrestle back some power, promising to do the things we want, only to shove their thumbs firmly up their asses and do nothing.

We need more progressives and less dinosaurs-- and WAY less DINOs.

To be fair, unless they somehow got 2/3 of the senate in hand another impeachment amounts to nothing anyway, so why not do something more productive?

To be honest, they won’t do something more productive, and now they just signaled that they won’t even bother to do something performative.

From a surface level view, of course. However it would connect with and energize voters. Which is not without merit. Not at least giving it lip service is shooting yourself in the foot for fun.

I think this is becoming our national past time. We love shooting ourselves in the foot.

I think the biggest problem with this recent presidency is they’re not taking the Dems out back and shooting them in the face.

edit: lmao at all the “but her emails” crowd downvotes. i know you love watching brown people get kidnapped. yoi’re included in being taken out back. you can downvote that when your time comes, lol.

Perhaps if all of the leadership in the administration was taken out back maybe their replacements would be more concerned with what the people actually want.

Cause we can’t really even vote those people into power because our system isn’t designed to work that way and those in charge of it have every incentive to keep it the way it is.

I didn’t know a better way to word it, but I mean essentially all the decision makers: senators, representatives, judges, pres, vp, cabinet members, etc. But not those that just do things for them, like assistants, interns, mail room people, etc.

Unless you’re suggesting even more than that.

More or less. Fake opposition and blatant fascists. All working together. The voters, also - to an extent. Tyrants can’t be reasoned with and it’s a whole system of them.
