Good job!:) Hope it gets better!

Good job!:) Hope it gets better!

That depends. Did it? I hope that at least it helped to stay afloat.

That depression is something that needs a mental effort to get rid of and if you try harder it goes poof!:) Nice fantasy land, no?

I switched to Qobuz recently and started to actual discover new music again after years on Spotify.

I can only applaud people who do that in the US: the cost of education is outrageous.
Here in Germany people prolong their education by years, since it’s almost free, you can work part-time, and there’s no need to rush.
If the US system won’t be robbing young people of hundreds thousands dollars, they wouldn’t feel compelled to try and hack the system.
Happened to my family member because of fast deteriorating political and economic situation in the country where they live.
It went bad:( But it’s not a fun experiment, when an older person’s whole career experience just gets devalued like that. And it happens much more often than people in the first world countries think.

I won’t use Max under any circumstances and won’t recommend it to my family. Testing out SimpleX for now.

I hate everything that’s being done. A large part of my family lives there, and just getting them on a call is now not an easy task.
(I mean, I hate Putin and his government for many other things too. Restricted Internet perhaps is the least of their crimes, but this least is getting longer and longer and longer…)

I’d argue USSR was fascist in its nature, and I judge by Eco’s definition.
It was nationalistic, and it was totalitarian. Hence, the debated term “red fascism”. Of course, ideology was different on paper, but the state often operated on fascist principles. (As multinational state built on suppression and discrimination).
That being said, USA is not a fascist state, despite the past and present movements.

USSR survived for 70+ years (and russia is back to square 1 for a at least 2 decades now). North Korea almost 80 and counting.
So I really don’t know… A European country has many checks and balances that other countries don’t have.
As for the USA, what’s the ultimate check for the most powerful country in the world if their own systems don’t work anymore?

I’m going nuts. I’m from Russia, and Russian officials say insane stuff, and then I read news from the US, and it’s the same shit, side view.
Why? Its insane, and it only gets worse. When I lived in the US during Tramp’s first term, it wasn’t that crazy, despite having± same names in high places. Now, it’s like another country, and too much alike my insane motherland. USA, you’re becoming what you hate the most!
Looneytunes, all of them. ☠️

I actually feel terrible the following morning of I fall asleep after doing stuff on my phone (which is most of the nights). If not because of the blue light, then why?
I agree; the thing that saddens me is how people are blamed for not getting their shit together themselves and not putting enough efforts.
For example my parents were honestly thinking that depression was me being lazy, overreactive or undisciplined, while thinking therapy is unnecessary for something so trivial. Gladly, younger generations are more aware about metal health conditions.
So all in all, I don’t want to devalue grit and resilience, but many people absolutely need support and meds, and it’s okay.
