Yeah, to me the important thing is the triggering of the memory. I wish the AI could’ve cleaned up the picture without adding a lot of its own artifacts. It is too sanitized. But it’s better than garbage quality picture of a picture. To me.

You can completely tell which is the AI photo, yet both preserve the memory and the essence of the moment. I hate that I have just a shitty quality picture of a picture of that moment. The quality of the AI version was enough that even my mom, who probably took the photo, couldn’t tell the difference.

I get that it isn’t the same but when all you have is a garbage version of a memory, I’m not sure or really matters whether the representation is the original garbage or something that makes you feel less regret over not having something better.

I feel like it wouldn’t be worse that getting into an accident and then… another accident.

Well they ought to be able to. Make it like a vote of confidence in the war. Either we’re at war or the process to continue trumps aggression fails.

Why not just draft a bill that is a formal declaration of war or immediate cease and desist of war activities of it doesn’t pass? Force the Republicans to formally stain themselves with war.

Frankly, I think my dad’s generation had it better. And I think I have it better than my millennial kids. And it looks like they will have it better than my teens.

I wouldn’t probably say I’d trade places with the average person because there are a lot of poor folks who have things worse than me. But quality is life in America is getting worse.

The average lifespan has double since 1900.

Which is another way of saying child mortality is down, but wait! Look what direction that is trending!

Hunger has decreased incredibly over the last decades.

Food insecurity is currently a big problem for American children and families.

Infectious diseases are way down.

We just ended vaccine mandates, ended funding for RNA vaccines, and infectious diseases are on the rise.

The tools and technologies available to us are far beyond what former generations even dreamed of.

And largely are subscription services designed to prey on us rather than make life easier. I have a robot vacuum that takes more effort and maintenance than my grandparents’ Electrolux ever did.
